Profile: Kevin Brown

Personal background
I live in Central Minnesota with my family of seven (five kids), and I am a student of and a fulltime social worker. I love science and am a proud member of the Planetary Society. I drive about 500 miles a week for work, during which time I am listening to a variety of books, lectures, Great Courses, and podcasts related to physics, space, and cosmology. I look forward to contributing to the advancement of our scientific knowledge anyway that I can.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am a huge fan of Carl Sagan and Frank Drake and their dream for SETI. I dream of the day that we live amongst the stars, occupying our galaxy, and interacting with other life forms. I feel that SETI has done a lot of good for the scientific community and will continue to do good, eventually fulfilling Sagan and Drake's dream. I think the SETI@home project is a fantastic idea and great use of available resources; I only wish I would have heard about it sooner.
