Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm absolutely positive that it's gonna be MY computer that'll analyze the waves of an alien fart from some far off galaxy ;-) I predict it'll be a
G-minor. Nah .. I just find this mass-cpu thing a cool use of possiblities given through this ongoing, evergrowing LAN-party called internet :)

Using excess CPU-time for medical/tech.reseach/SpaceResearch/environmental et.c. purposes = BOINC, is just a stroke of genius ... just think of the amounts of CPU-time being available allready now a days, increasing day by day as avarage MHz on computers rise. Well ... here ... use my CPU :-)

No doubt that other lifeforms are out there, and at some point we'll notice them through this type of research (if as noisy as mankind are, with nukes and so on), but whether "the truth is out there" or not ... I don't know.

Isn't it btw. only like 5% or so of the visible space that's covered by current radars?
