Personal background |
I'm 18 and I live in Kentucky, U.S.A. I have been using SETI@home for nearly six months. I have always been an avid computer user since I was about five and I always enjoyed having strong technology and equally powerful programs to run on it. In my junior (grade 11) year, I noticed that my physics teacher was running SETI@home on his classroom computer. I asked him about it and he told me what it was. I also noticed the stats on his computer and saw how long it took for him to complete a data packet. I decided to try running SETI@home on my own computer, and that was about six months ago. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I don't believe aliens exist, but I don't deny the possibility. A friend once told me that: if we're the only life in the Universe, then it's one big waste of space. I agreed instantly. I run SETI@home because I want to know for sure if aliens do exist or not and find out if the Universe is just basically one huge vacuum, or if there is more than meets the eye. |
