| I served in the United States Navy as a Submarine Electronics Tecnician. I have since transfered to the Fleet Reserve and returned to North Carolina where I was born and raised. I am 59 years young and currently retired, Backpacking, camping and target shooting are my favorite activities. Woodworking and most do-it-yourself projects are my favorite hobbies and I have added a new hobby of reloading. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I believe extraterrestrial life exits. The discovery of ET life, When it occurs they will make themselves known to us. We are a young race, we have yet to fully explore our own planet and less than a fraction of our solar system. We can not get along with each other, How would we react to an ET. But, perhaps contact with ET life can bring humanity closer together or it may divide us even further.
We should transmit a beacon. It should be a simple message consisting of basic math and physics equations.
I run Seti@home, so I can help in a small way on a global Project, and perhaps one day turn science fiction in to Science Fact . |
