Profile: Solengen

Personal background
I'm kind of veteran in computing,
I know how to operate a FlexoWriter and I can even operate a National Class-32 accounting machine.

I'm educated in Chemical Engineering back in 1978, the subject was, the still very useful:-), quantum-chemistry.

In the little sparetime left over the work, which makes me able to eat every day, I'm a student at the university in pre-historic archelogy.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Is life out there?, I have some doubt about that !
...and if there were life out there, would we ever get in contact?
That's the real question.
We do not know how long intelligent life last, and this will narrow the window in which we'll be searching and the time other lifeforms are using electromagnetical waves for communications within the range we can detect.

I'm donating my free cycles for seti@home, just for the fun of it.
