Personal background
Entrepreneur living in the Chicago area representing global producers of textiles for medical, scientific, and industrial applications. First participated in SETI@home in 2000 - 2001. My interest has since been renewed in the project through a family member working in the radio astronomy field so I have now restarted my participation.

Having worked for Hewlett-Packard and other high-tech organizations for many years, I have always had an interest in distributed / grid computing such as the computing model employed by SETI and quantum computing.

My graduate degree is in business, not science, but I consider myself a "citizen scientist."

A particular interest of mine is to explore how - and if - cosmology and Roman Catholic theology inter-relate to one another. Are they mutually exclusive? Do they conflict? Are there areas of common ground? Can they cooperate and support each other? It is my hope that the SETI project, and others like it such as Cosmology@home, will shed light on these questions.
