Personal background
Hello community.
My name is Daniel.
I am 28 years old and i live in a small village called Kuhardt (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany) which is located about 25km away from Karlsruhe. I am an electronics engineer with a specification for radio technology and communication (perfect start for sending signals to ET or receive them :-). My hobbies are electronics, astronomy, my car, surfing the internet and also on the weekends relax with my friends.
I also collect various things like Coca-Cola merchandise, stamps, dvds, old electronics and so on...

Greetings from Germany to all Boincers out there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti@Home, once a standalone application, has grown up to something bigger. Now, with the enhancements of BOINC, you have the possibilities to help scientists all over the world to solve complex calculations, cure diseases like cancer or analyse radio signals from stars far away.

My computers are often left completely unused, even if it's only for short time, so once a question came up my mind: Is there nothing to use my processors idle time to help others or do something scientific? No sooner said than done.
I spent couple of hours on the internet till i found something interesting. The SETI@Home research sounded really great to me because i like sci-fi and astronomy. So i started crunching WUs for Seti@Home. From this time on (9 years for now) i am a proud member of the Seti@Home and Boinc network

Keep on crunching my friends :-)
