Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Does extraterrestrial life exist? Just given the sheer size of the Universe I find it very arrogant to believe we are the only intelligent life around! I would like to see E.T. and his buddies discovered in my lifetime! Making such a discovery might bring a wealth of information, but also new challenges. Sharing their knowledge, customs, diseases etc.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? Sure, I real powerful one, if people are afraid of what it would attract. Launch the transmitter to a place that we could monitor from earth more easily!

3. Why do you run SETI@home? I do my little bit for the benefit of the human race! What are your views about the project? Fascinating. I sure that not everyone that runs set@home appreciates the enormous size of this project! Any suggestions? I would like set@home to cache a number of results to enable the client to run for longer periods without connecting to the Internet.
