| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

There is definitely life out there, and though I really hope we find it, I'm not sure we will, but I'm going to help us try! I'm not sure that there is much risk looking, because I expect that other species out there will be just as curious as us.
As I'm an avid mac user, my main seti@home boxes are macs, but I have a bunch of other boxes too. Here we go by OS: Mac OS X 10.0.4: Dual G4 450MHz, PowerMac 8600/200MHz. Windows 2000: 600MHz laptop, 300MHz laptop, 300MHz desktop, 450MHz desktop. Solaris 8: 2 X E450, 4cpu. |
