Profile: Grantek Incorporated

Personal background
Grantek Incorporated was founded in 1983 by the current President known only as "Grant", and since then has become a multinational, multi-billion dollar (half-multi-billion US dollar, Grantek Inc's Head Office being situated in Wollongong, Australia) organisation, committed to proving once and for all that Evil will always triumph over Good, because Good is dumb.
Seti@Home (Well, Seti@Large-Secret-Underground-Installations) may be one of the more ambiguous and hopeful of Grantek Inc's palette of research projects, however we feel it is imperative that Grantek Inc become not only the first intergalactic corporation, but the first organisation to form a complete intergalactic corporate government. This idea is the cornerstone of Grantek Inc's ".GRANT" strategy, and although Grantek Inc's own FTL craft is nearing beta testing stages, we believe a partnership with a similarly Evil alien empire will benefit all involved. For this reason, Grantek Incorporated's contribution to SETI is such that its WU counter is one of the few that displays Millions of WUs Completed, rather than single WUs. The 'h4rdK0r3 14m3rz' represents those individuals choosing to ally themselves with Grantek Incorporated, in return for not being crushed like a paper cup.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
If extraterrestrial life does not exist, it will. Grantek Incorporated will soon be expanding to neighbouring star systems (Q2 2005), and contributes to the SETI program in order to search for existing infrastructures and consumer bases.
Grantek Incorporated is currently transmitting banner ads that can override any alien display system, and inform them of the Grantek Incorporated Experience. Selecting these ads (in whatever way extraterrestrial life forms select banner ads) refers them to the Grantek Incorporated page on GrantNet, as Grantek Inc chooses to have only a limited presence on the somewhat inferior "Internet".
Grantek Incorporated wishes to thank the Seti@Home staff for inadvertantly contributing to the .GRANT strategy, and assures them that they will not be crushed like a paper cup. Any time soon, at least.
