| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I can't remember who told me about SETI, it is a while back. The simple fact
that this project was one of the first trying to use otherwise wasted CPU cycles
was one of the reasons to join, the other being that I also wonder if there is
anybody out there. If they are out there and if we find them, well who knows.
There will be an enormous distance, not yust in lightyears, but also in all
means to communicate and eventually meet those SETI's. Even if we will let them
know that we are here, we will probably never see them but I guess it would be
nice to know that we are not the masters of the universe ! |
