Hi! My name is Debbie and I am 47 years old. I live in Redmond, Washington, the home of Microsoft. I am currently a college student! After I graduated from high school in 1978 I attended the UW for two years, then dropped out to start a family. I am now divorced and in a position where I need to support myself. So.... on the advice of my 22 year old daughter and 24 year old son who are both college students, I have returned to college to fulfill my life-long dream of completing a college degree. I am majoring in business administration and so far I am LOVING it!
I live alone with my British Shorthair cat, William. I love animals of all kinds! I also enjoy cooking, reading, playing the piano, singing, directing my church choir, travel, and trying new things! In general, I like to have fun!
I am Methodist, which is on the liberal side of Christianity, and I am liberal politically. I am passionate about social justice and helping the poor.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I love to read novels, although now that I'm in school I really don't have time to read for fun. (Even Harry Potter has to wait until the break between summer and fall quarters!)
I am enthusiastic about the SETI at home project and have run SETI for about 3years now, I think. I firmly believe there are life forms "out there" and I can't wait for first contact! |
