Personal background
Well let's see, I'm married to Todd, raised 4 sons, have a beautiful granddaughter

and I am a self taught artist. We moved to Florida almost 3 years ago,
and
now I spend most of my time taking care of my 89 yr. old mother. I'm something
of a computer geek, spending most evenings on the internet updating my web site,

http://www.geocities.com/carol2514 or helping family and friends with their computers.
Since my mom moved in with us, I don't have the free time to set up for oil painting,

so I use CorelDraw8 to satisfy my creativity.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There definitely is life out there. How can we believe that we are the only ones
in such a vast space? The only way we will come in contact with other species, and
I mean all of us come in contact is when we are mature enough to accept this concept.
I see no danger only benefits and those benefits are beyond our human comprehension.
I doubt if a beacon is needed, I'm sure we have been visited and are known by who ever

has been here. I started Seti about three years ago,but lost my password and

have a new email address, so I can't find former references to that fact.
I think the Seti is a great project, not only because of what it is doing, but

because of the fact that it brings like minded people together.
