Marines 1957-60. Navy 1962-66. BS Northern Arizona University 1969. JD University of California (Hastings) 1973. Army 1974-87. Navy (Civil Service) 1987-2000. Wife is a Nurse. Son is a Environmental Biologist working in fisheries management with the National Marine Fisheries (NOAA). Daughter tutors foreign students in reading, speaking and writing English and is currently pursuing a PhD in teaching English as a second language (TESL). Created: 1999. Edited: 2009.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think extraterrestrial life exists and I think we should discover where mostly for the fun of it! But I also think we should explore because those life forms and/or their host planets may represent a danger to us in some way as newly discovered and altered life forms have done on Earth. Finally, other livable planets could be places to relocate Earth's population should that ever become desirable or necessary.
