Hello my name is marco van stel and i live in the netherlands.
I am a danceteacher and my favorite hobby is computers. A few years ago
i surfed on the internet and found seti. That started a chane reaction
because; what must my computers do when i am on the dancefloor. Ok you can turn
it off or do something useful with it. So i choose the second option and inspired others to do so.
That's how i started with seti.
When you read this well you also have the same idea that i have
and i only want to say KEEP ON DOING IT because there's a lot to be done.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes i do think extraterrestrial life exits, but we only will discover that when
we are ready to believe where not alone. They will contact us first. But when they do a lot of people will lose there faith in religion and how the evolution
started.
But that don't mean we must stop trying and send out a beacon that we are
ready. The info of the beacon is the beacon itself so others know where here.
Also beside that it is wonderful that people arround the world with different backgrounds and origin and politcal idea's can work together in the same project. And do this on there self nobody had to command to join.
