Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The universe is so infinitely vast, that statistically there must be other life out there. Detecting a signal could potentially change mankind forever(and lets face it, we could do with a change)!! I for one, believe it's only a matter of time, unfortunately, probably not in my life-time though.

I run SETI@home because I think that distributed computing is a great use of computer power. I am so excited to be part of this project, just wish I had heard about it sooner! Plus, while it's crunching data it keeps my bedroom nice n toasty at night (always a bonus)can get a wee bit chilly here in Scotland of an evening!
