Profile: OZMOS

Personal background
Residing in the state of Washington, I am currently at full retirement age so I have options although I am presently employed in the I.T. field managing deployment of new computers, repairs and the like.
I have a photography background, primary subject matter for five years has been competition hydroplane racing... moving targets are always more fun.
Moved on to live and recorded video of the same subject matter as well as populating Youtube with over 800 race videos.
other hobbies consist of running a karaoke system... the right way, there is more than a volume control involved. Supplying audio for live race events as well as audio mix for blues bands.
Current focus on livestreaming is the Unlimited and Grand Prix Hydroplane race event in TriCities, Washington, the last full weekend of July.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
To believe that "we" are the only species in the universe with the ability to communicate is ridiculous
To possibly find that response to our 100 years of radio chatter is seriously interesting.

I've noticed recently 11/30/2017 that we are sorting through data from 2008 which is all well and good to determine if there was a response or independent attempt at contact but I truly believe our search should be more current.
Data from 2008 puts the broadcast information, even from Alpha Centauri, to be 13 years old at best. Putting that data on the back burner and processing the more recent data may be more fruitful.
