Profile: Don Crain

Personal background
I am 69 years old and I am an avid science fiction fan. I have a Macintosh and decided to donate some time on it to help find extraterrestrial life.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The probability of extraterrestrial life is significant. It will be like finding a needle in a haystack because of the vast distances and separations in time. This should not deter the human race from trying to find it. With all of the sources of signals emanating from the earth, it should not be necessary to send a special signal to the universe. If we do find life we could then beam a signal in their direction. None of us would be alive to receive the return signal.
