Personal background
I´m from Ystad, Sweden, and I´m 29 years old.
I´m employed as a programmer in XOR, Malmo, where I develop a cutting-edge economic system.
I try to spend as much time as possible with my 1 year old son, Liam and my girlfriend, Lisa. Other than that, I watch movies, or play games.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Logically, the universe must have billions of planets with life on them. That, simple mathematics can prove. A lot of the planets is probably many years behind us in evolution. In fact, there can be planets with highly intelligent beings, that doesn´t care about technology, or have completely different ways of making life easier. But there is just as likely planets with far more advanced civilisations, and higher levels of technology. Maby some of them has used radiowaves, and maby not. Some of them can actually have discovered how to bend space. If so, they can already have been here!
I hope the races that come to that level of technology, are peaceful. Probably they are, because otherwise they would have wiped themselves out.
"-Well, why haven´t we seen them?", somebody may ask. Isn´t that obvious? The goverments of the Earth would love to get their hands on their technology. And for what? War! It would probably end with the world blown to pieces... You don´t give a loaded gun to a 10 year old kid!
