Personal background
Born in 1966, I was 3 years old when humans first set foot on the moon. Consequently, I was 6 years old when humans LAST set foot on the moon. How sad it is...

A fascination with space was instilled in me at an early age. I distinctly remember following the Apollo-Soyuz linkup in 1975. I also remember when NASA discovered that extrasolar planet that was inhabited by talking apes. Yeah, the spirit of science fiction lived and breathed in real-life space exploration. I'm not the only one who wonders when we'll re-open the gates of the heavens and start exploring once again. As much as I support and admire these armchair efforts, I know I want to see real humans striking out in spacegoing vehicles once again. Please, let it be soon.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I absolutely think extraterrestrial life exists, and I think (hope) we will probably find basic cellular life forms within my lifetime. But my lifetime is getting shorter, so let's get crunching those units so we can hit the jackpot - intelligent life!
