I'm a Software Engineer from the UK. I'm 26 years old, and have a wide range of interests from cars, aviation and I.T to radio communications.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I first started running SETI@home many years ago on one of my first Computers. The idea of finding life elsewhere in the universe has always fascinated me, and it would certainly be a world changing experience. After a gap of a few years, I have come back and am dedicating high performance server machines to the hunt for E.T.
I run SETI@home on a number of platforms including Windows 7 and Linux. I procure most of my server based systems from Companies that have upgraded to newer systems, and thoroughly enjoy the Engineering challenges of running a multitude of servers in a home environment.
My only suggestions for the project would be to continue expanding work unit types and tasks, allowing SETI@home to contribute towards space research in general as well as finding E.T.
