I'm systems IT Tech for a small company based in Perth WA. I have been building new and old systems since the Intel 386 Days and I was running a very early version of SETI@HOME. On and off most of my systems at home and work run SETI crunching and i have done this since oh say 1994 and I found it captivating looking for that little signal coming from deep space that says I'M OUT HERE CAN ANYONE HEAR ME. I am 51 and i am looking like a lot of people for signs of life in the dark reaches of the universe. While i am not working on computers I am looking for earth based contacts via my 11 Meter CB Radio that I have setup in my dinning room. Some of the radio's i use are 37 years old and are vintage transceivers and believe it or not there are still lots of people still using this form of communication. I love the thought that some of the other radio operators are many 1,000's of miles from me and I am talking to someone who's on the other side of the planet.
