I'm from and live in Colorado. I'm 52 with 6 children ages from 29 - 17 and have 2 grandchildren. One of which has special needs. I'm a secretary and a mom and grandmom. The first two comments about me state why I am interested in space and Mars. I believe that is where the future for my children and grand children lay.
I have worked for the Federal Government since 1981 but have been around it all my life in many ways. Sometimes I feel that the Government and the agencies and organizations that support our future in Space activity do not bring it to the level of the public. I believe that at times it seems to a hard working person that it is a game that scientist play and they can't see the future in it. I want to work to a better level of communication with scientist and the Government to relay the need for space exploration to the General public in a realistic way. To assist in a liasion so that both sides can better understand each other and respect and recognize the need. Science can't do without the hard working man to help pave the way and man can't do without science to get us there. Both need to stop living and acting in their clusters and start to interact with each other more. At times Science looks it's nose down at the average every day worker because they don't have the degrees and knowledge they feel to talk to them. But you see the average worker has the common all around sense. We as average workers sometimes feel that the scientist and such waste our money on their toys and don't want to come out of our comfortable shell and face the reality of a world that may be dying and we need to look to the stars. The birds know this and so do the flowers.
That is me just a person who loves the skies, the stars, the birds, the butterflies, and the daisies. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I started with SETI about 4 years ago.
I believe that there is extraterrestrial intelligence of some sort out there. I don't think God would make just us. You know there is always a back up
I keep hoping that the worlds out there will communicate with us.
Some people feel they already have, I haven't been that lucky but I keep looking to the sky saying ok here I am you can talk to me. Maybe I scare them away or I'm not in tune.
Through SETI maybe they will.
We should transmit and try to communicate but we must be careful and not be tricked.
