Last month I had a few days where the system was off and the daily average dropped to about 8,000. I got the system up and running again and kepy it running... the daily average climbed over the montht o a peak at 11,000+... and then slowly dropped over the next week to current 10,700-ish and appears to continue to drop. Why? I have been running this continuously for the past month. Why the drop? [/img]

I am looking for whatever a freshman or sophomore student would start with if they were intent upon a career in astronomy - in other words, the "Astronomy 101" textbook - not dumbed down for non-science students but what the serious student of astronomy would start with as their first course. Now, BOINC will load up a batch of GPU work and then continually keep swapping out GPU tasks not letting any of them run, it swaps the a task in and then a second later swaps it out for another task. Right now it has about 20 tasks (0.228 CPUs + 1 NVIDIA GPU) postponed, and it keeps swapping themn in and out. The GPU is not getting any utilization. Help???

7) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : All work units end up being "Computational Error" (Message 1923997) Posted 11 Mar 2018 by Johann Post: Hi - for the past few weeks, the daily average credit for my Linux / Ubuntu / GPU system keeps going down. For a long time it was averaging like 15,000 now its been going down to like 7,000. And I see lots of "computation error" results. Didn't use to. I would like to support the project but just running the system for hours on end just to have the work fail doesn't seem to make sense. Can anyone give me some guidance here how to make this thing more productive?
