Not getting any work?
Posted 17 Aug 2013 by Raubhautz*
I am trying to run in this challenge thing, and Seti (BOINC?) refuse to give me cpu wu. WTF?! Sorry, it is getting very frustrating.

CPU and NVIDIA wu are selected in Seti project settings as well as BOINC/BAM! Group Settings. Of course I did not select to accept AMD/ATI GPU's, I DON'T HAVE ANY!!!!
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
PS - At this point, I have gone so far as to detach all other projects, less the 3 nci projects. Still no cpu work.

Windows TCP Settings - Follow up - Help with server communication
Posted 7 Mar 2013 by Raubhautz*
[...] The crucial change is to enable TCP timestamps and window scaling, as provided for in RFC 1323. Mac/Linux machines have these enabled by default, and I suspect most public proxies are Linux-based.
Interesting find. Upon investigating my machines, I found that my Win7-Ultimate already had the setting in place; and it had not had any d/l issues. My Win8-Pro machine was missing the setting, though it had not seen any SETI work yet... I did not have an issue with my WiFi being used to d/l either. See ya all at the challenge.

Completed, validation inconclusive
Posted 14 Sep 2012 by Raubhautz*
Hello - I am a bit new here, but all has been running well (as far as I know) until the last couple of days I noticed that, only on some SETI jobs, I get the status entry of, "Completed, validation inconclusive"!!
Does anyone know what that means? And if so, do any credits apply? Some of these results are on large computations and I hate to think that I am losing all my efforts.
Any advice would be helpful.
