It seems to also affect LHC@Home, so it is not only SETI, but Milkyway@Home and Einstein@Home works fine.

That you'll have to ask the software center/packet manager! ;-)

What exactly do you mean?

We have no control over what goes into the Ubuntu software center, that is decided by them and they have been known to be very slow in upgrading software before.

I have a task that says "Completed, waiting for validation". But the task I reported today says "Completed and validated". How can a newer task be vaild before an old?
