What is the "deadline" for boincmanager to switch to a project that is near to his deadline? One day? two days? I afraid too of this thing cos i through that it does not really work. But i never waited and try to prior it manually when it goes very near project deadline.

Yes here Cache is going to be smaller and smaller too :( Its a older dual Graphics System on 9GB HSDPA Mobile Stick for seti. Alternative i have only Einstein on it, but this needs much more traffic then this 9GB :/ GPUgrid does not work anymore on 9xxx and 8xxx Series .. (for me). Hope machine does not run empty very soon :(

The bad thing is for me. im sure im in the club, cos i computed some Seti classic (was it on a Amiga 4000/060?) in the beginning ^^ I tried to find out what email adress/Account i had but failed. Must be the short time of beginning of my internet "carrier", i had Modem Access only, so i lost emailaccounts from this short time. So i dont have access to them to show, only the account what i have created "now" 10 years after that, while i forget this project and found some files on feb. on very old Backup CDs ^^

560 TI only 9000 RAC? hmm getting this nearly with an more older card from 8xxx or 9xxx NVIDIA generation dont remember exactly but i know i had 8000 RAC with one of these. now i share it with einstein so it is bit lower now. 560TI must be much more O.o

Yes i ment this card.

GT430 has ~280 GFLOPS plus something more or less, just remembering ^^

5450 has 104 gflops (google)

know then only two more cards from ati 3850 ~470gflops (4670 can also only very low more) and 4350 96gflops.

So the gt430 seems to be a crunching wonder for PCI 133 Slot :)

But the PCI Idea is new to me, so i will try too perhaps :) Does it runs on a board with allready 2 PCIe GPUs? so that i have 3 GPUs? (2 PCIe + 1 or 2 in PCI?)

I think the definitive answer is no.

PCI cards will not run in PCI-E expansion slots, as I understand. That is why I have spent so much time trying to purchase PCI CUDA capable graphics cards.

I am sure others will correct me if this is not correct.

He wouldn't like to push a PCI card in a PCIe slot. ;-)

He would like to let run PCIe and PCI cards side by side.

I guess - if you have already non Fermi GPUs (because 1 WU/GPU) - you could let run also PCI cards in the machine.
[EDIT: Or the below mentioned GT430 could run 2(+) WUs/GPU, then also with Fermi GPUs.]

But IIRC from what I read, only nVIDIAs in one machine. The newer nVIDIA drivers 'suppress' ATI/AMD cards, so they can't be used also.
Only an older nVIDIA driver allow also ATI/AMD cards.
Or only ATI/AMD cards in one machine.

correct ;) i have running a S775 P4 3,2Ghz with two PCIe Graphiccards (8800GT and 9800GTX+) and was thinking after the posts before mine, i could build in one or two PCI Graphiccard too, to have 3 or 4 GPUs in one old maschine ^^ I see Alternate.at has a 430 fermi card on PCI (61 euro O.o)

Does anyone knows if the new detonatordrivers running @ windows 2000 Server? (for another machine)

I searched the web and it look like the 7800GS was the last/highest AGP slot grafic card.

CUDA only possible 8xxx series and higher. So min PCI slot.

What you would like to do? ;-)

wrong 7950GT was the last Nvidia for AGP ;) but ok it changes nothing to the cuda thing ^^

Use AGP Radeon 3850 or 4670(?) with third party ATI Apps. this works ;)

Thx for first Infos.

I know where i can set variables..but..öhm i need to give the variable a name. How is it named? and the value is then this GPU HEAP size thing?

Second problem i dont know where to find this app file. loked at project order, boinc main dir and User directory where boinc is also with his projects.

BOINC finds the Graphiccard, so point A is correct.
Point B is negative. dont find any app file.

I created now a file with this content (from the link from threadstarter) but where i must save it?:

Im a little noob in BOINC and config things with it ^^

But i cant get any work on my WorkPC for my 4350 Card with Cat11.3 with SDK(OpenCL). I checked my preferences to accept other applications but BOINC says that there is no GPU work for me. Hmm.

Celeron E3200 2*2,4Ghz
2GB RAM
WinXP SP3 32bit
HD4350 512MB
BOINC 6.10.58

In a thread i saw that i possibly change something to GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=256
but where? O.o

Thanks for any halps ^^
