Best phobia ever!!

Girl scared to death of pickles

I couldn't help but lmao.

As for myself, I have a slight fear of heights. That's one of the many reason I became a pilot. Don't really have that rear anymore...unless my prop starts windmilling (only happened once in 14 years), then it starts to creep back slightly.

It doesn't really matter. The major religions in the world will just simply do what they done over the last 2000+ years and change their doctrine to include ET's as part of Gods plan...even though there is absolutly no mention of anything outside our little bubble. Makes it easy when you can change the rules at will and everyone just goes along with it as if it were always there to begin with.

I've always had the impression that the infamous like/dislike buttons have given people yet another avenue to be lazy. Instead of engaging in conversation and having to either support or debate a certian topic, people now only have to simply click a single button. It would be different if you could click a like or dislike button, but only if it came with a response by default. Scrolling through threads with three posts, two with 150 likes and one with 74 dislikes just makes me wounder why those other 224 people couldn't give an opinion, regardless if it were relevant or not.

How do such stupid people get into positions of power? WTF???

I blame the voters, and their lack of interest/knowledge in who they vote for.

7) Message boards : Cafe SETI : Why no English food restaurants in the USA? (Message 1331013)

Post:
We have Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Italian, German, Mexican and other ethnic food style eateries in thr USA but I have never seen an English, Scottish, Welch or Irish restaurant. I think American style cooking and meal selections are not much like what is eaten in those places so I wonder why no one specializes, other than some fish & chips places, in English food? I also rule out Irish and Scottish Pubs as they are primarily drinking establishments.

If you ever make your way up here to Northern Idaho, check out Eichardts Pub. The owner started it after spending 14 years in England and Australia. Great place.

A friend of a friend just sent this to me. Just shows what lengths some people will go to push their agenda on others.

New bill would consider abortions from rape as "tampering with evidence"

Should make it fun. Put the "sample" in a black briefcase or "football", and handcuff yourself to it. Noting the number of very odd looks you get along the way.

I'm only 46 and already starting to dread when I go on Medicare.

By the time I'm 46 (13 years from now) I'll be lucky if Medicare even exists. Might have to re-enlist or get my commission just to get sub-standard health care from military docs. Scary thought.

Are the wildfires and recent 54 deg C (129 deg Fahrenheit) of Australia ironic?...

No, what ironic is 200 people standing around in 34°F weather protesting global warming. Your reference to temps in Austrialia is for an area roughly 100 sq miles (not very large for Australia). Not to mention the fact that the effected area is so sparsely populated...

...due to the fact that the area is ummmm, DESERT!!

Death Valley consistantly see temps reaching 120°F+ during the summer...It's desert, it's suppose to get hot. When Sydney hits 129°F, let me know.

Anybody have any idea of what the Chinese are building in the desert? I figure it's either a missile launch complex or maybe an archaeological dig of some sort. It was found by the people at Google Earth.

I read a little article about what you're refering to several months ago. The "expert" they interviewed said it resembles a proving ground, or perhaps what will become an area for urban warfare training. Russia is said to have several of these areas in the middle of Siberia as well. Who really knows though. :/

These guys are right up the road from where I work. I'm thinking about making a pilgrimage over there this afternoon and see if they might offer tours and get more info.... might even drop off a resume. I remember seeing a Kickstarter project that they put out about 6-8 months ago. Apparently it was highly successful! I'll post more when I find out.
