CUDA GPU workunits -- processing errors
(Message 1298461)
Posted 25 Oct 2012 by Colin Post: I also have been told that my NVidia 560 Ti errors are adversely affecting the system. Since I don't know how to stop receiving work for my GPU I guess I will have to bail out of SETI. Colin |

Too many invalid results
(Message 1296716)
Posted 18 Oct 2012 by Colin Post: I have a simliar GPU problem. Both my machine and the card are new. Out of over 1900 tasks, 987 are Validation Inconclusive and only 42 are Valid. I have no idea what to do about this. If I could turn off GPU usage I could just let 4 processors run tasks. Since I received a notice about overloading the servers, I will discontinue the particiaption of this machine until I hear something. Otherwise the GPU works fine, operating two screens flawlessly. Completed, validation inconclusive
(Message 1294487)
Posted 13 Oct 2012 by Colin Post: I, too, have this problem. 40% of my pending are "validation inconclusive." I have 214 "invalids' and only 81 "valid" with 6 "errors." I am heating my office with this computer. Is my equipment not suitable for SETI's needs? I bought a GTX 560 Ti because it was highly ranked by SETI. |

(Message 1102284)
Posted 30 Apr 2011 by Colin Post: I stopped WU's for my GPU because of heat. Now I have a new fan and would like to start again. How can I force SETI to send some work for the GPU? I have set preferences appropriately but only get work for the CPU's. |
