these large marine mammals are being destroyed by the use of SONAR and the high radioactivity of the plastics in our waterways
they are frenzied and in pain
often the humming sound of a motor is attractive to them because it calms their frantically beating hearts

WELL frankly a huge percentage of the dolphins and whales that are washing up on the beaches here are the result of radiation poisoning because the water from our hospital sewers is draining into the oceans nearby. San Francisco Ocean Beach is a graveyard between Seton Hospital and Livermore. The San Francisco Zoological Gardens are a close third. The water seeping around broken radio collars [who keeps track of these?] and leaking leaking hospital plumbing is going into the ground water table and also into pipes we terminate underwater right IN THE SEA itself

Gmail is the best free email

This is a useful idea... in lieu {!} of what is not drifting (which is why you need to have one of those "dust covers", i think). Apparently one would be a good idea on the Moon:

Post:
Engineers have successfully ejected the dust cover from NASA's Kepler telescope, a spaceborne mission soon to begin searching for worlds like Earth.

"The cover released and flew away exactly as we designed it to do," said Kepler Project Manager James Fanson of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. "This is a critical step toward answering a question that has come down to us across 100 generations of human history -- are there other planets like Earth, or are we alone in the galaxy?"

Cool news. This little UNIT is apparently looking for planets! Seventy hundred gizumpty-dillion dollars spent on science in the last fifty years and we have finally succeeded in building something practical.

Is this the reason why I'm having a bit of trouble getting new units?

When I check the Messages tab I keep getting the red, "Message from server: (Project has no jobs available)" for a day or 2, maybe 3, which I found a bit unusual. I didn't think we'd ever run out of work units!

Thanks,
Garry....!

The last work download to this computer was at 11:30pm PDT on the 28th (7:30 UTC on the 29th); almost exactly three days ago. I get the same message from the server at varying frequencies. Have been suspending network activity about 3/4 of the time. I wonder if anyone is playing Freerice.

Matt, should we suspend network activity so as to reduce the load on the servers when the situation is resolved?

Received no work since around 21:00 UTC on the 24th... Seconding this question and suspending network activity until answer appears (again)
Thank you ALL
Suki
