nothing happening here, one could hope that end-of-the-world would come before end of the workday, no such luck here.

actually, Security Essential, which will become as a part of windows 8, is light and good even now, tried and tested it.
but of course, since vista, you don´t really need any such program, if you use windows account how it is supposed to be used.
so it is precaution for the people who use it with admin rights, without uac and without password.

there was just a test how well people can find bugs and things from code, and even best professionals did very badly.

they just don´t find them.

Linux is 20 years old, so it is now full of holes, security wise.
as martin proved earlier.

ROTFLMAO!

Perhaps you need to read again what Ozzfan and myself have posted, and the outcome. Also note that your hero Microsoft looks to be making more money out of Linux systems than from it's own Windows!... (Android continues to be a gold mine for Microsoft... Really innovation? Or just good old fashioned extortion?)

The nature of FLOSS and open peer review is that any hole very publicly gets uncovered and fixed, quickly. The same mechanisms also ensure that very few holes ever see the light of day or last long enough to get exploited.

Please watch the news. We'll welcome any useful comments from you.

Regards,
Martin

Microsoft looks to be making more money out of Linux systems than from it's own Windows mobile.

and that is old, since this is not referring WP7.

but why not to make money out of linux too.

As I wrote in Politics this demonstrates again the folly of leaving firearms, especially automatic firearms, in the hands of people.

yes, but after 21 years they can keep him in prison for 5 years more if they think he is dangerous, and after five years, they can do it again and again.

As an atheist, I have never really understood the anger toward believers or believers anger toward atheists.

I was treated very poorly by the church I was born into. They tried to force me into shock aversion therapy on threats of excommunication and eternal damnation.

Despite that, I still love and respect my friends and family who are believers. If they ask me about my beliefs, I tell them. Otherwise I keep it quiet.

When a believer tries to engage me in a theological debate, I ask them two questions that usually quiets them down:
1. Is there anything I could say to you to convince you that god doesn't exist?
Answer: Usually no.
2. Why would you believe that my beliefs are so flimsy as to be changed by anything you might say?
Answer: Usually stunned silence.

That's as pushy as I have ever been. I don't push my beliefs on others, but it does piss me off when others push their beliefs on me. I don't care if you celebrate Christmas, Easter, Lent, Ramadan, or Samhain. I only get angry when others try to use public institutions (schools, courts, legislature) to force their beliefs on me or my children.

good questions.

it really isn't problem, they walk so slow and in curious way which is easy to recognise, and they tend to drop limbs all the time and make sounds, so, if they suddenly attack, there is still plenty of time to make a plan against them.

I can't even prove that you exist in any particular form. You may be male or female; you may be an artificial intelligence program or resident of an insane asylum; a you may be a pot-smoking guitarist or a Jedi knight; you might be a group of hackers trying to look like a person. Even if I saw you face-to-face you could be something other than what you appear. I am satisfied that God exists and I am sorry that you don't believe, but that is something you have to decide for yourself.

i do, as you can see by looking my writings(kind of conversation, at least, you write and i answer), you can´t tell if i am human or computer etc, but i exist, and you have prove of that.
about god, you don´t have.

i seem to be written whatever, proof was the word i meant.

OK... So a 3rd party developer looks to be competing head-on with Windows 8:

Developer Bringing Windows 8 UI to Windows 7

... early work of Italian developer Sergio James Bruccoleri, who is working on a public beta of a Windows 8-like interface that will layer on top of Windows 7. ... public beta will come with "effects and some cool stuffs." ...

So... Go for a Win 7 app to get that Win 8 look and avoid the upgrading the "OS" at all?

Keep searchin',
Martin

the look of UI is irrelevant, and that is not the reason they will publish windows 8.
you have always had the opportunity to chance the look of your UI.
