Let me just say, that this is quite a good value. Not only did the Kittyman crunch for us well past his contractual date, he became a valuable participant in the team. Thanks Mark!

Just broke 25 million on seti, and I am ranked number 3 in the world both in credits/day and credits/week. Yay for the SNL 10th anniversary gauntlet!

Yea, the only thing that is really freaky about it is durability of the eggs. From reading the articles bleach makes them lose their adhesion ability but does not destroy them, they remain viable in the soil for 4 years. Best method of destruction and cleansing is to use lye or to burn with butane torch.

For me, the raccoons seem to like pooing on our lawn I worry that I will miss some and then mow it possibly spreading the microscopic eggs into the air where they can end up in the respiratory system. I mean nothing like the smell of fresh cut grass laced with raccoon roundworm eggs.

My kids (5&8) love to play in the dirt and dig in the backyard too, thankfully they don't eat dirt and I make them wash their hands very well, but what if they pick their nose?

We have a party of raccoons that come by our place to play in the giant tree, and there is a creek nearby. I do find raccoon poo in my yard.

The problem noted with the 6.2.28 Ubuntu kernel does that apply to any 6.2.28 kernel?

From the pic I would fathom a guess it was Timelord.

Yes, that is correct it was Timelord.

Thanks for sharing the pics. It looks cold in them?!

May be a good thing I came back from the US last week? ;)

Well cold is relative, I would say that it was quite chilly. It was in the 50s F and the breeze was blowing. We did stand around the BBQ to catch some extra warmth , which also served as a conversation concentrator.

ooh I am horrible with names. I am sure everyone recognizes the project staff from the about pages. I figured people would chime in with self identification.

I can tell you the dogs name is Jerry/Gerry :) and that there were no cats present. Most people came with their SO, so that covers some. As for SETI crunchers from the boards here there were 3 other than myself: Angela, uli, and one other whom I can't recall his name.

Hey you all missed out, the food was super yummy especially the potato salad, cookies, and jerked pork!

I took some photos, I really should have thought about it rather than just snapping them off, but I got what I got.

At the host specific level it works fine. I have tried from various computers on various networks with IE, Firefox, Chrome, on linux, windows and Mac. Its only the single page that should show all the pending credit from all the hosts in one long list.

When I click on the pending credit link from the your account page nothing ends up being displayed on the resulting page. I can clearly see pending credits listed in the tasks links from the hosts page. This was working just fine a week or two ago, but now appears to be permanently broken, at least for my user.

Is pending credit actually working? The last week whenever I have checked the page sits and spins for a while then stops showing me blank. The last time I did see results I was somewhere over 600k pending I assume that it has only gotten bigger since then.

I would think that the page would time out based on the large list size, but it seems Rob is able to list his pending credits?

I will give that route a try. Thanks.

Am I correct though that two different projects cannot use the GPU and BOINC will manage the switch back and forth between the two?

So I finally decided to get CUDA going on my one computer that could do it. I got it all set up using the various optimized apps and boinc 6.6.18. So now I am crunching AP5.0,AP5.03, MB6.03, MB6.08.

I then decided that I would try attaching my GPU to CPUGRID. I thought boinc would switch the CUDA processing between seti and cpugrid. The very first cpugrid unit errored out so I figured I would try not running both CUDA projects at the same time.

Fine, I went to the seti prefs and disabled use GPU so that I wouldn't get anymore CUDA work and I could clear out my CUDA queue. Problem seems to be that I do continue to be sent CUDA WUs. How do I turn the spigot off?
