As someone said before----->Finally Friday

I´m winning a beer for this!

I got a hundred dollars smokin' in my billfold I know I oughta save it but it's burnin' a hole Right through my pocket and into my skin Come Monday morning I'll be broke again. It's finally Friday, I'm free again I got my motor running for a wild weekend It's finally Friday, I'm outa' control Forget the workin' blues and let the good times roll. I got a little sugar baby down the road She's sittin' on a radio and rockin' on roll We'll dance up a storm and later all night We'll be workin' on doin' all the wrong things right. Monday, I'll be hurtin with my head in a vice Tuesday, I'll be wonderin' if I'll ever survive Wednesday and Thursday, I'll be slowly tunin' in Friday, I'll be revin' up my motor again.

Cheers!

A total of twelve men have landed on the Moon. This was accomplished with two US pilot-astronauts flying a Lunar Module on each of six NASA missions across a 41-month time span starting on 21 July 1969 UTC, with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on Apollo 11, and ending on 14 December 1972 UTC with Gene Cernan and Jack Schmitt on Apollo 17 (with Cernan being the last to step off the lunar surface).

The programme stopped with lack of funding.

We haven't returned because NASA's budget was slashed during the Apollo program. We went to the Moon for political reasons; it was a matter of national pride. Once we beat the Soviets, the taxpayers didn't want to see their money wasted on a project that they believed wouldn't benefit them. It's not cheap to go to the Moon, and NASA was forced to realign its priorities.

I would say that the primary reason for such a break was that the mission had been accomplished----> To arrive to the Moon at the end of the 60´s and last but not least, to win the race between the USA and the Soviet Union.
After that the Russians (Soviets) were beaten to the ground, so something else could be done in a different front.

Guys,
The presentations made by the two scientists at that conference was way too detailed for what was needed. Both of them went through page after page of very deep mathematics, and each page was full of abbreviations that only a CERN insider could understand. I bet that any physicist what watched those presentations would also have struggled to keep up with what they were explaining.

The presentations should have been much shorter and with simpler "bullet points". But i suppose those scientists are buried so deep inside the science of what they are doing, in their minds, it was clear.

John.

I wonder how would explain it Michio Kaku, Brian Greene, Lisa Randall or Brian Cox, for example.
Stephen Hawkings has already requested the Nobel Prize for Mr.Higgs, although it has not been proved for sure.

Tullio, a 4 - 0 score against Italy was a total surprise and fully unexpected.Italy was a formidable opponent and Spain could once and forever win two strong teams which historically have been a nightmare to Spain: France and Italy.
Auguri.

There were some crackers there.
An honourable mention is due to the "new kid" Dirk Villarreal Wittich with "We´re getting closer to the Shaolin Temple.....!"

I'm not going to give the usual places, but will say I had to toss the three sided coin several times to get to the final winner -

<drum roll>
Will Mr.James Sotherden please step forward, your caption "geo cacheing has finaly hit kayakers." caused the three sided dice to favour you more than the rest.

(Edit to say to Blurf. Sorry your post came in as I was typing, so I'll give you an honourable mention too, for being just too close to the wire)
So now its your chance to have hysterics as the rest try to calm you down...

I joined SETI@home boards on April 25th 2000, which means I am here long before you were. I don´t know you at all so you don´t have the right to publicly name me "new kid". It is even worse coming from a moderator.
