theres no password for the router its opened,so there's no password problem.and i know its not safe to not have a password but that's only for the city ,the closest house is out of wireless reach anyways

the other day i had a problem and recentley had to reformat,so i did that but now i seem to be having a problem with my WMP54g linksys wireless card, for some reason it says it can see my router but cant connect to the internet,Ive installed most recent drivers version 4.1 for xp since there is none for win 7 64 bit(it worked before so that cant be the problem)my laptop and my friends laptop can both connect to the router and get internet easily,so i am confused on what can be stopping it from seeing any internet

looked at the intel site and it says that the 920 base frequency is 2.66ghz and max frequency 2.93ghz,and i seem to be running at 2.8 ghz so i guess my temps should be norm since im also running asrock oc tunner.

Just got my heatsink in and after an hour of trying to interpret directions i finally got it in and snug, booted in windows and now temps are better idle about 58c and 100% load using seti it runs about 78c give or take a few c.Not sure if hyperthreading will also increas temps a few C

no i cleaned off the thermal paste using Coffey filter and rubbing alcohol, and applied new thermal paste using a strip going across the cores and ive ran seti using a laptop and old pc with stock cooling with no problem

i recently bought the intel i7 920 for my new desktop(using stock cooler),ran speedfan to test the temp and saw that the at idling all cores ran at about 95-100 celsius but did the same when at load with seti running so reapplied thermal compound i bought from artic silver and temp is still the same in both conditions,i would like to know if anyone else sees these kinds of temps or is it normal?

well unfortunately im going to have to stop crunching now, might be moving soon ,gonna have to save money on elctrcity, ect ect ect just alot of stuff going on in my life so i will be able to crunch anymore at this time until i get stuff sorted out,i do hope to get back to crunching soon but all in all its always fun exploring the unknown.so my regards to evryone and keep crunching not for credits but discovery

if i knew exactley i would say ,but i think it would be more used for storage i guess as i read on it,so seti i guess wouldnt need as much space reserved for hard drives and have more space allocated to processor power.just curiuse on what may become of this new tech down the road

thought i would throw this in since it could someday deal with number crunching is the memresistor, its been about a year since it was first announced that Hp first produced a functional memresistor, but could the new power of the memresistor soon could be used to help crunch for seti projects?or even other projects?
