3) Questions and Answers : Windows : Problem with running Seti on Windows XP (Message 1003335) Posted 12 Jun 2010 by John U.S.A.F 1st LT Post: I just downloaded boinc 6.10.56 to a new laptop that i just purchased to work with 3 other computers I use on my seti account however when I downloaded the seti program and launched it the toolbar icon show its disconnected and when I click on it and it brings up boinc manager in simple view all it does is show dots moving in the "Retrieving current status" window of the BOINC Manager but it wont connect. I cant bring up add new projects or retrieve any data, what is wrong? I am running Windows vista business, does that make a difference or do I nned to download sometging else? I downloaded the same seti program for my other computers and didnt have a problem so I dont know why it isnt working now.
