Lets see what you've got, I just hit 10 years of crunching yesterday. I wish I kept this on my computer more than I did, but hey at least I keep coming back.

I set mine to only crunch AstroPulse workunits, but when AP was no longer available I switched back to send me anything.

My idea starts with a question. How much of a presence does seti have on the berkeley campus? I notice that there isn't a seti group on campus. Why not try to get some of the kids involved with the project and have them on campus raising funds?

Also, while looking around on the berkely site there are only two links on the entire site to seti. Maybe you guys should request a larger presence on the site.

Would that also include the boinc program? Couldn't we put something for the top company in the seti graphic?

I haven't come up with any new ideas, but I thought it was worthwhile to keep this topic up towards the top. Instead of being about to go to page 2.

So it would seem that the problem is too many results coming in too quickly? Wouldn't it be possible to create a bottle neck that would only allow so many results coming in at a time and the rest would have to wait until the way was clear?

Thanks for the update Matt. I wonder about this problem that keeps coming up. Is it because there isn't enough hard drive space? Or because the servers aren't fast enough?

I'm mostly worried about what they haven't thought of as far as escaping reactions. I have to wonder if large scale tests will send out unwanted signals into space that may be perceivable by aliens. Strange thought I know, but you never know.

Now that it is the next morning and not 2am, I have been watching the webcast so it is of course up now. Though by the previous post I may have just gone to bed a few minutes too early.

Big surprise the webcast still isn't up. I saw mention of them using evo, but halfway through setting evo up I got too freaked out and stopped. Weird program with many errors on pages and incorrect certificates. Seems a bit strange for a multi billion dollar project to use something so cheap.
