Are you sure BOINC is not installed as a service (Protected application execution)?

If BOINC is installed as a service on Vista it can't recognize the coprocessor...

boinc.at a relaxed Team with charming computing power

Boinc.at was founded in 2005, it is a steadily growing, upcomming team and as of now on the 2nd place in Austria. We have a pleasing forum, team- and user statistics, BOINC-FAQ and nice crunchers which you can also meet in real life at occasional forum meetings!
If you still crunch without beeing in a team (or your old team got boring ;) ), meet us at boinc.at and join our team in the projects you are crunching. Crunching together in a team is much more fun! See you at boinc.at!

Well, actually there is an add on card with the Cell Broadband Engine CPU. It´s called Mercury Accelerator Board... ;)

But I read on a german website this Accelerator Board will cost about $8000, is only certified to work with the HP opteron workstation xw9300, and it is not available yet...

I think for $8000 you could get a few PS3s! ;)

Yes, I mean our BS sigs, and I checked my preferences, and the link is in there, as BBCode, but maybe I have to take a look again there? I better do. :-/

Yes i noticed it... ;-)
I´m glad your sig is working now! What was wrong?

As a little explanation for people who might not know what last.fm is about...

About Last.fm

Last.fm is the flagship product from the team that designed the Audioscrobbler music engine. More than ten million times a day, Last.fm users "scrobble" their tracks to our servers, helping to collectively build the world's largest social music platform.

Last.fm taps the wisdom of the crowds, leveraging each user's musical profile to make personalised recommendations, connect users who share similar tastes, provide custom radio streams, and much more.

Founded by Felix Miller, Martin Stiksel and Richard Jones, we are a London-based company with a music-obsessed team of developers and creative professionals from around the world.

It's never been this easy to share your taste and discover new music. Welcome to the social music revolution.

Erm, I know I lost the Team again yesterday, at Prime Grid, Seti and Seti Beta. But today I´m listed as a BS member... Execpt at Prime Grid. Have you fixed anything?
I thought it could have to do with BAM? I read at the BOINCstats forum that these three projects were we get dropped off from the Team something got changed on the server software... However I posted also to the BOINCstats forum and Willy will investigate it.
I use the 5.4.9 BOINC Manager on 3 machines with Win XP.
I don´t really know when I was dropped of, But I don´t think after BOINC contacted the Server, because I stopped crunching for Prime Grid, and there is the same thing... Also I stopped crunching for a few days for Seti and Beta because of the Team problems so BOINC should´t have contacted the server in this time...

Hi Stefan,

I got an answer from David. He says it sounds as if someone else has your email address/password for your account. So his advice is to change your password on the site (at change password) and see how that goes.

If another party has your account key (that 32 character hexadecimal key), it's going to be more trouble, though.

But test it with a changed password first. If it still occurs, please report back.

Ok, I´ll try that! But normally nobody else than my should know my password...
I´ll report it here if i loose the Team again!
Thanks for your help Ageless!

Kind regards Stefan

Hi all!
First, I´m not new to Seti, I´m crunching for about a 3/4 year. But since two weeks I loose the Team all 2 or three days. Normally I´m crunching for BOINC Synergy, but my Account page says "Team:none". I rejoined BS three or four times, and it´s always the same: After a couple of days I loose the Team and the account page (and stats sites) are showing that I´m not crunching for BOINC Synergy. Yesterday I lost the Team again, and I didn´t rejoined BS, so you could see that I´m not crunching for a Team if you have a look at my profile page. See also this Thread at the Seti Beta message boards. I´m crunching for multiple projects, but I only loose the Team at Seti and Seti Beta... Could someone have a look at this please! Thanks!

Regards Setfan

That is just too funny! Of course you can express your opinion...but you do not crunch for seti so why bother?

I crunch for multiple projects SETI been one of them so I do crunch for it

Looking at you siggy I can see that you're a real dynamo for "user of the day." So many projects, so little work.

I´m with you! ;)

This really pisses me off! I'm thinking about dropping my support for SETI. I've been crunching since 1999 and crap like this has to stop. Too many great people have left SETI due to some childish ignorant people that need to be terminated from the project. People like Crunch3r and trux have kept the spark alive in a lot of people that otherwise would have gone elsewhere. There is no doubt that the science is the main objective, however you have to understand that competition is what drives the heavy hitters out there. When teams were started they introduced the competition aspect of the project. Teams are for one thing and that competition, it's a fact. Everyone tweaks their systems to get the most out of them as they can and a part of that tweaking was optimizing their systems to use their CPU's to their fullest. Crunch3r I hope you will return later and I hope you get the apologies you deserve.

>Fred

Fred - this is very well stated, and I agree with you 100%! A boycott has been talked about, and maybe it needs to happen now. I would dedicate the boycott to Crunch3r personally. I am ready to protest in whatever way I can and for however long I can. It's real easy to do - just close BOINC Manager or go to other projects. I'm ready. Our team has the highest production currently, and most of our forum members seem to be ready as well. Any other teams or individuals with us on this?

I´m with you! I already detached from Seti!

I´m not one of the big crunchers, and i´m relative new to SETI and BOINC, but i took my decision to the BS which is going on here and i detached from SETI and SETI Beta with my computers... I won´t crunch for a project with such ignorant people...
Sorry for the bad english...
