Is BONIC ready for primetime (Message 440857) Posted 20 Oct 2006 by UBT-McTooth Post: Hey I am stuck with Gate's crap as well and modem to boot (that roughly translates as 'kick the sod'). Boinc is ok but it would be nice to be able to download a days worht of units in one hit. My wife likes the phone but will not let me get broadband. Downtrodden!! As a matter of interest I have been given a Sun Spark 4 with solaris 8 on it. It won't even talk to a Yamaha ext SCSI cd tho it knows it ir there. Any hints for a non techie, big hammer or reprogam, reprogam sounds better but less fun. Seti is worthwhile but if ET needs a mobile, my phone is an old Oki analogue house brick which will stop him being blown away! ( It dosn't work anyway)
