Thank you Gary. That is why you need to consult a registered Tax Preparer. The insurance brokers are only licensed to give advice on insurance, for them to advise with regards to taxes is illegal.
Same applies to me. Evenso I can help you get coverage, you have to choose your own.
I am licened by the IRS, California and NY. Other states don't have that perticular requirement in place.

Turbo Tax has been a haven for years for fraudsters. I have stopped many in my 14 yrs as a paid preparer. How, that is between me, the IRS and the State of California.

As I said, my advise is free. Trying to reach the IRS is hours on hold, if you even can get thru.

@Chris, I am not and never will be an American Citizen. I am a proud German, just being a guest in the USA for the sake of my children.

I grew up with fresh eggs, brown, not sure what breed they were. Cost ZERO. Double yokes evenso not common where a nice surprise. None of my client have chickens and my HOA doesn't allow me to have some, so either drive out of the way or just buy them at the store.
There is a definete differance in taste.
Also eggs labeled as L now seem to be a size M. The last batch I bought had stamps on them. Still cost me $2.99 on sale.

As to patience. People try me everyday. You want me to prepare your taxes correctly (paid and licensed), yet you argue with me, because some free software site gave you a bigger estimate of your refund.
Get a grip, because you have a choice, just don't come crying to me, when you get an audit letter and I have to charge you to fix it.

I used the free on-line TT for my 1040 and 540. Because I had no real income; just SSDI, it refused to let me file electronically. I had to print out my 1040 and 540. All information is correct; as usual. Like Mark, I've never had any trouble with TT; paid or free.

As I anticipated, the new health question was on the 1040, Line 38, "Did you have health insurance for the entire year of 2014? (Medical, Medicare...)" I checked "Yes". Therefore, proving that I needed to file; as I was told by my dad's Tax guy last year, and my Insurance Broker this year.

If you didn't have health insurance for 2014, you will pay a fine in next year's filing of taxes. This is why I chose to file this year. I didn't want to have to pay a fine next year, when I clearly have viable insurance. (Medicare.)

If the Supreme Court strikes down the Individual Mandate this year; then, I won't have to file next year, or ever, as long as I'm not working. So, we will see what happens later this year.

Good luck, everyone. :-)

Both your Dad and his advisor were wrong. You have no taxable income and did not go thru the Marketplace. You are covered via Medical and NOT required to file a return.

@ALL Feel free to PM me to clear up any Tax questions. My advise is free. Been doing my own for 35 yrs, work/paid wise 14.

That lasagna looks interesting. As for the double down dog, that's just an odd concept to me.

Bleh. I love vegetables, but vegan raw "lasagne" is 100% wrong.

I agree with you Ang. My kids and their friends fight over my Lasagne.

Should there be a 2019 Anni Picnik. I will just need your oven to do the baking.

SUPER FOG has descended here, visibility is down to around 70 metres.

When in Yorkshire UK I seen the thickest fog in my life, I had to cut it with a jackhammer.

Please visit me Grant. When the Tule Fog hits, I might see the nose of my truck in the drive way.

Did have some good rain in the last couple of days. Today's storm went elsewhere tho sadly.

For the first time here, I saw sheet lightning/wetterleuchten here in Stockton.
Not as colorful as in Germany or in the Texas Pan Handle, but nice.

The sight seeing was ok, but I like to be in the right lane and not have to cut over at the last minute.
Now back to books.

Not sure what you are japping about, but egg prices are sky high here in Stockton.

$4.99 for a dozen and they are locally produced.

Damn HOA..........................

I used TT until 2000. In 1999, I had three jobs, in 2000 only one. Evenso I deleted the two extra W2s and reviewed the return and it looked good. Once I send it, it filled in the two W2s with the same data and thus tripled my income. That mess took month to fix.
I find more errors with TT, then any other free software.

I like the idea. The tunnels should be wide enough to seperate the bike lanes and the walking lanes. You also have to keep in mind, in London they tend to bike on the wrong side of the road also. Not sure about the walking bit.

I like this type of thinking outside of the box. Yes Chris, change is hard.

@Chris believe me, there are a lot of road/highways you can be on more or less autopilot, because you may see a vehicle once an hour or so.

Yes Uli, in the States I entirely agree, you drive out there, and you have been driven in the UK, our road system is quite different to yours as you know. I just worry about people setting the cruise control then nodding off ......

You drove me in your rig in California, and I felt quite happy in your hands, but I still wouldn't encourage you to let the vehicle take over.

As Admiral mentioned, I said autopilot not cruise control, which I have never used in my life. Also Eric was the driver not me. Just my Rig.

Thank you Admiral

I had to go down that road twice yesterday.

Latte 11/7/1998 to 2/5/2015 aged 16. He is now with his brothers. His litter mate Ruta is still a spring chicken.

Ziggy went with him, evenso they only barely just tolerated each other.
Summer 2000 to 2/4/2015. Aged 14 yrs

[/img]

Both are buried next to my bedroom window. Ziggy always brought home gifts and now can play with them again. He also loved Catnip, so we send some of that along.
Latte loved his buscuit and is taking one with him.

A new rescue will arrive here before the end of the month. A pitbull pomeranian mix, age 8 month.

I am sure Ruta will be a good Granny and teach him the good and bad habits.

Today we had make a sad decision to put two animals down. One was Ziggy.

He is at peace again. The Vet agreed, when the brain goes haywire, it is best to let them go. He was 15 yrs old and lived here for 14 years here. He had a good life.

Latte tolereated him for all this time.
Latte was born here on 11/4/1998 and was burried here on 2/5/2015. Next to my bedroom window. Only got along for the last few day of their lives.

These two, where the most pig headed, stubborn Rescues I have been privvy to have served.

Not sure when Ziggy was born. He was found in Sacto on one of the hottest days in 2000.

To answer your question Gordon. Vic pays property taxes on the Mobile Home, the Park pays the Property taxes on the Land. If Vic would be filing taxes here in California, he would be able to take a Non Refundable Renters Credit deduction.

Filing for taxes is something I can't do as the SSA/IRS says SSI is not taxable since SSI is unearned income, so there are more than a few things I can't do, Congress could fix SSI and update the law, but chooses not to, SSI is not popular enough I was told.

Though I can get a loan or a mortgage, though I am rather limited in what I can afford.

And in your case it will never be. Just be happy. I don't mind filing returns, but most people out there don't.

@David I love my one cent books and don't mind spending $3.99 in shipping, since most are hardcovers from Goodwill and in prime condition.

I would like to see Amazon except Paypal tho. One big negative.
