No body helps Vic because he has burned those bridges down years ago. The gas furnace farce as Chris pointed out being the big one that soured most folks.

Vic you still running 30 foot extension cords in your house to keep some things running?

One thing Ive learned is save. Stash cash away for when you need it. Dont buy stupid things you dont need and or cant use. ( like all the ebay computer crap you buy) Ive yet to see one of your water cooled video card computers come on line after how many years? Thats all old kit now anyway.
But its your life so continue to stay your course, You know better than all of us anyway.

I see the same old disasters are still happening to you zoom. One crisis after another. You have been buying suspect crap parts online for your build for how many years now?
And I still see you don't have one running yet. ITS a hobby not and obsession to crunch SETI@Home. take care of your living costs first.
And the shop that did the work, Porked you big time. When in doubt replace a belt. Its a lot cheaper than when it goes.

But you will say we are just ignorant and don't know anything because you read something on the internet.

I will let you wallow in your own woe.

Mark, Im not a regular reader on any of the forums here. Not even the raccoon team thread.( 12 hour shifts wil do that. Id rather sleep.)
But I just had to pop in and see what was going on in the cafe.
So you fell off the wagon, Im glad you got back on it again. Shows you have the guts to stay on it.
As for the ciggs. Ive told you how hard it was for me to quit . And I fell off that wagon many times. Hopefully it wont take you 15 years to quit like It did for me. Ive now been cigg free since August 10 1989.

Glad to hear your doing well.

So, what do you think happens to the "me" after death? Does it just float around indefinitely? Where does it go in between tangible existences?
That make me think of what happened to "me" before I was born...
But I cannot remember nothing at all of it...

That is one interesting point.
AS you I have no recollection of a prior life before I was born.
However, Like most humans I have primal fears.

Mine are snakes, saber tooth tigers, Crocs and or alligators and Tigers.

Why you ask? I have no idea. None of my ancesters has been killed by one that I know of.. Is it racial memory handed down through our DNA. Or is it because we are reincarnated?

all life is electro- chemical. maybe we do just drift until?

Mark I wish you all the best on your quit date for smoking. And congtrats on the upcoming one year being sober.
Have you been trying to cut down on the smokes per day? Or doing the nicotine gum and or patches? I'm just asking because when I quit back in 89 . It was cold turkey or nothing.
For me the first 3 days were the hardest. And it was hard keeping my hands busy. I'm thinking buying one of those spinners the kids use would help in that. But they didn't have those back then either:)
Just think of the money you will save by not smoking. And good luck.

The pain in My body is going down, I took 2 650mg Tylenol 8hr caplets, My arms were hurting too.

Dinner was good, home made spaghetti, and I have enough for Saturday from what I cooked, I didn't have enough spaghetti sauce, I had 4 cans, and 4 cans of tomato sauce, I used 2 of each, it worked, barely. I have enough ingredients for Sunday and Monday, after that it's back to fish fillets and mixed veggies, I think all the way until February 2nd.

Sounds like you should have sold those extra bottles of Diet MD and Chips on E-bay for some extra cash to buy food.

Well the $38.91 rim or wheel is not "completeable", the seller said that, this is because the rim/wheel is for a 2001 Hyundai Elantra(not in the ad, just afterwards), and not for a 1999 Ford Escort zx2 sport Hot Coupe, so they want to cancel the sale and refund the money back to My paypal account.

I found that 15x5.5" Ford made Escort zx2 rim again, it's the same type as I use now, it's $60.00 w/FREE shipping, and the rim comes with no center cap, so there goes another $9.44 when I have enough for that, plus $46 for the tire, and $6.00 for mounting and balancing, just so I can have a spare tire for My car, otherwise My car will shred a tire again.

Then I still need to replace 3 more Nankang 185/60x15 tires, which other people have said have given them trouble, as in going flat with no real warning.

The above was from your mid Sept. post. You knew you had issues with you cars tires back then.
And what did you do? You wanted a an Xbox and went on a Diet MD and Chip binge. You poured how many bottles down the drain and threw in the trash how many bags of chips after you won the xbox? Why did you not donate the left over spoils to one of your home community centers? Surely there must be some one in your community who would have loved to have some extras.
I'm still waiting on how the trash TV from E-bay will turn out.
Enjoy escaping from reality with your Xbox.

Sorry to hear that. The Moody Blues are one of my favorite bands. I'm an old guy who grew up listening to them.
The album I liked the most is, Days of Future Past.

I never said you had bad ball joints. Just asked if you ever have seen what happens when they let go at speed. And about time you fixed the car and not buy crap off of E-bay.

A traffic ticket is no big deal. Try being your own lawyer for a real case. like assault , shop lifting, robbery or even Homicide and see what happens.
As for your car. Hitting a speed bump, Curb, An object in the road, Or a pothole can cause major damage to the suspension of any car. I blew out a side wall and dented a rim on my car last year by hitting a steel object at night doing 65MPH on the highway.
But then you read the internet and are an expert on cars. Just get the car fixed so you don't endanger another driveror a pedestrian. Ever see what happens when ball joints fail at speed? I have.

No one can't sue oneself.
My friend Lars did. He won. Not the smartest thing to do, but possible.

Is Lars a Lawyer or an Attorney?

My sister's first husband was one, He said "He could have had a fool for a client" or something like that, but then I was a young kid then.

The quote is, The man who is his own lawyer, Has a fool for a client.
Reminds me of folks who read something on the internet and say, I've read that-------.

I've found that when they use an air wrench to put your tires back on , Its very hard to get them off by hand. I just position the cheap ass wrench they give you with cars now days, To stomp on them with your foot. And I do mean stomp.
If your tire is rubbing against what ever it is. It wont last untill you get that problem fixed.

I will add my 2 cents worth. We were not poor We had a roof over our heads and food to eat, But every penny had to count. I used to get hand me downs from my older cousin. My sister from and older cousin also.
My brother and younger sister got we handed down.
Tell the truth I hated hand me downs. They were 3 years out of style, And were talking the mid 1950's here. Not great decade for style to start with. But kids in school know. So yes I can understand the way I was when I was on my own. And had my own family.

We learn as we get older that some thing are learned by not knowing we are learning them.
