1) Questions and Answers : Getting started : Scheduler request failed (Message 1163420) Posted 18 Oct 2011 by Tom Briggs Post: Hi, I'm running various BOINC projects on my home laptop with no problems, but I've also installed BOINC on my work laptop, and SETI@home is consistently unable to get started. I'm receiving the following error message in the 'messages' part of the BOINC software: "http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ Scheduler request failed: HTTP gateway timeout" I'm confused because the other nine projects I'm also attached to are not suffering from any issues. To reiterate: SETI@home is the ONLY project I'm having issues with, and it's ONLY happening on my work laptop. Every other project is working fine, whether it's at home or at work. Any ideas? Thanks! I've read god knows how many other posts, and haven't found anything that's helped. I'm not very techie when it comes to things like this, so cardboard chewable pages would be best with any explanation. I'm about to just give up and carry on running the old sah and then leave it alone when it's phased out. Thanks in advance for any help.
