Hitting only the highlights of the past 90 years and taking into account your accusation of "starting a War to test military equipment every 10 years";

"WW I" European war, U.S. stupidly entered in 1917.

"WW II" European war, U.S. forced to enter in 1941 due to European ally attack on U.S. Naval Base

Korea United Nations Police Action, U.S. supports U.N.

Viet Nam French war to keep Indochina, screws the pooch, U.S. supports U.N. Police Action.

Lets tally for a moment, two "Wars" and two "Police Actions", none started by U.S. to "test military equipment"

I guess it is easy to forget about the French in Algeria, the Cubans in Angola, the Israelis in Palestine, the Russians in Afghanistan, the Chinese in Nepal, the Indians in Kashmir, Iraqis in Kuwait, all those little African countries kicking each others ass, and of course the rest of the non-U.S. "military equipment test sites" of the last 90 years.

Saddam and his genocide of the Kurds had to be dealt with no matter what. Any excuse would be a good excuse if an excuse should have been needed. As for what is happening in Iraq these days, it is the Iraqis that are killing Iraqis.

BTW, just in case you missed it, we are not the bad guys here, read some History, watch a little News on the tele, check out the BBC International News, they have some good murder, mayhem, revolution, genocide, invasions, and other atrocities to take your mind off the U.S. for a day or two.

I would like to know what set you people from the Final Frontal Lobotomy off so that you must spam here like a bunch of fools?

Never mind, I answered my own question with the question.

Yes you are confused. I created Götterdämmerung in Seti Classic days. Never been with S@H USA ever. (that includes yesterday and all the days that came before)

I do belong to Team USA for CPDN and Predictor.

BTW, why all the interest? This is supposed to be a Team USA Topic?

Buying my country is not the same as investing. It is not like they are leasing land and building a useful industry or service oriented business.

We would have fewer problems if our government did not send billions of hard US currency to countries that burn our flag, scream die Yankee dog and swear to see us dead. F them I say and let them continue down the road to hell.

Rebuild the United States first and screw the rest.

Immigration as such has gotten out of control. It is no longer regulated and anyone who arrives by a leaky boat, across the border, or just comes to visit then stays is not the way to run the store.

Yes my forfathers came here from England in 1626, as for the Native Americans, they were killed off by the "Indians" when they came over the Bering land bridge.

The U.S.A is no longer a melting pot it is a dumping ground. You may also noticed that I did not say to stop immigration, reform it to the standards of other countries.

On another subject, we are also one of the few countries that allow the sale of our land to foreign interests. Soon most of California will be owned by Japan and the Arab's.

I have been using 4.05 on two AMD and one Intel boxes with no visible signs of any problems.

Am I lucky or is there something I am missing by not upgrading to newer versions of BOINC?

Seriously, WU's download, crunch, upload, then download some more and the only pesky thing is having to do a manual update to get the ready to reports out of the way.

Are the newer versions somehow better coded to do what they are required to do faster, better, or more efficiently?

Thank you for a serious answer in advance.

Well, the world in general is a violent place however what I truly object to is seeing all the anti American sentiment that is put out there as Gospel.

I know of one way to drop the crime rate in the US. Deport anyone that is not a United States Citizen then start over with some of the tough immigration laws other countries use. Such as "You want to immigrate to (insert country name here) what can you offer us?"

We has so many "international gangs" that think they are still in Jamaica, Viet Nam, Mexico, China and so on. Not only do they bring their thug ways to America, they refuse to become part of America. That is one reason I asked about demographics with the per capita crime data.

California is so lenient of immigrants who after generations still do not or will not speak English, that the State publishes documents (to include Voting materials) in any language you can think of and most of the dialects of those languages that have them. The Elementary School down the street from me has 123 languages spoken there. God forbid that one need speak English in an American School. Can I come to your country (non-English speaking that is) and have you teach me in English because I do not want to learn your language? Of course I expect all the rights and protection that your laws and government provide. I think not.

As for guns, they get all the headlines. People can be murdered by hand, knife, screwdriver, rock, crowbar, thumb to the windpipe, pen, auto/truck, paper clip or what ever else is handy.

You want to point a finger at a country that is violent, pick one that allows by law to kill ones wife or daughter for any indiscretion. Maybe one that beheads the opposition. Those that send tanks and rockets to quell rock throwing children, or bomb the hell out of a city block to get one man. Now that is a violent country in my book.

I have said this many times and I will say it again. It would not hurt my feelings one bit if the United States of America withdrew from all foreign lands, closed its boarders, cut off trade, and became an isolationist country. With our resources there really is nothing that we need to import and the grief of being the worlds whipping boy is not worth the price of being the "World Power".

Let someone else take the heat for a change.

Point? I think you are getting it.

Maybe you would like to share your Per Capita data? Maybe you could include some demographics with it.

Then we must exclude Parliamentary countries? That little tiff in Northern Ireland seems a bit excessive.

Ok I must jump back in for a comment about how violent the U.S. is and how many people feel it is not safe here.

Can you say Middle East, Asia, Africa, Indonesia, India, and feel free to add countries to the list where mass murder is the apparent "norm"?

This would be a good time for someone to turn the "Damn Yankee Western Devil" thread toward the more common Car bombings, be-headings, and other crimes against humanity perpetrated almost daily in the rest of the world that is not the United States.

And least you all forget, Europe started out with a very violent policy of Imperialism and Colonialism that still reverberate in the world of today.

It would best be served to look back at your own bloody centuries of history before condemning this young country for the woes of the world.

If the uninformed want to look at us as some kind of Wild West culture out of some old story book, maybe the ignorance of it should be reciprocated in kind.

Judging from history, are you all still taking over other peoples lands for the glory of England, France, Belgium, Germany et al? Are the Guillotines still singing in Paris? How are the Serfs doing these days? Treating the Wogs any better? Keeping your ghettos under control?

For every inflammatory comment made about the United States of America, I could easily make a corresponding one for any other country.

What would be the point?

One last time, not everyone in the U.S. carries a gun nor do we as a people advocate violence.

This rant is singing to the choir. Those who agree will say nothing but a silent Amen, the rest will continue to shake their fists and raise their voices to the Judas Goat of ignorance.
