Similar here but transfer rate down to 1.65kbs :-(

Since my last post, I've had a wide range of responses and failures to connect. Just got 14 lost tasks along with a "no tasks available" message - that's an unusual combination. Download speed has dropped to 3 to 5 kbs. An Astropulse task has been downloading for over 10 minutes. Was nice while it lasted. :=(

Just aborted over 100 tasks.
Miserable about that but at least I have got rid of all the "abandoned" ones :-(

I thought I ought to check to make sure - two tasks that were about to report had already been marked "abandoned".
Effectively, all bar one task today has been done in vain and I have so far "lost" a huge amount of credit.
Will I get it back???

[edit]More recently downloaded work has not been marked abandoned, incidentally.

This gets stranger and stranger.
One task was reported at 1:34:30 UTC today and successfully validated.
Ever since then, every task reported has been marked as abandoned.
What goes on ?

What's more, every single "abandoned" task is marked at 1:34:59 UTC, whenever it was reported. Weird!

Looks like it's only happening on one of your two computers - Error tasks for computer 6860030.

Are both the same machines on the same internet connection, or are they in different places?

Both computers here on the same wifi network.

I'm abandoning nothing but piles of work is being abandoned for me.
What's more, these all seem to be work that was never actually sent to me. Most odd.
Total is exactly 200 tasks, ranging from "sent" on 15th March to 17th and all "abandoned" on 18th.

Also of possible significance is the drop in active users recently. It is beginning to pick up again but is well below previous levels. I think recent Seti problems caused a lot of people to abandon the project.

Not bothered about my collapsing RAC but I seem to have a lot of work units waiting on wingmen. I have had no trouble reporting, uploading or downloading just more units awaiting validation than I have ever had before.
Are crunchers dropping out or are they having trouble reporting?

I wonder if this a symptom of a problem or whatever was done to cure the greater difficulties?
Looks like another downward cycle is starting at present.

It was great while it lasted but hey, I have work on cache and when someone makes it to the lab to unblock the drains all will be well again.

Woke up this morning to find both systems rapidly running out of work. Large backoffs due to not being able to connect to the Scheduler when it tries to do so.

This is obviously the start of a 1920s Blues song.

Still struggling to get work, "Couldn't connect to server" is still the standard response to a Scheduler request.
Very, very few requests result in contact, and then "Failure when receiving data from the peer" tends to be the response.

Seems that way, with full contact very intermittent but I just got 15 units including one AP.
