if you are on a website your browser is actively receiving and sending info to that site. Much of that info is ads from the sites you have open. Even though the this doesn't actually use much network time it does use a bit of CPU and GPU to process and update website/ad content. IIRC one of our users actually found that just having the BOINC manager open on your desktop slows the processes down by a percent or so over time. |

are you running stock apps? it shows that you have opencl for nvidia and cuda failing. no results. I'm wondering if you have an app_info with both apps mentioned in it. |

I thought that the open Cl apps for intel were downloaded from Seti. You probably received the stock GPU apps which are openCL for astropulse IIRC. the Intel openCL doesn't have any apps at seti so you wouldn't see any downloads for it. |

If you run the optimized apps on the CPU (FYI use the SSE3 app), you'll need to have one for the GPU if you intend on using it as well. This means making an app_info from scratch or using the lunatics updater 0.40 if you have it. |

I don't think you GPU is capable of running the app. You'd need to run the hybrid app from Lunatics. IIRC it has something to do with your memory bandwidth. |

I bought a pay as you go virgin mobile flip phone about a year ago. I stopped putting minutes on it when in 1 weekend the wife burned through 2 months worth of minutes calling every couple hours just to say hi. I can do without being constantly connected. I got in my car the other day and a woman was doing the same and wouldn't you know it at 7 am she couldn't put that thing down to drive. I just can't think of enough to say to keep me on a phone constantly. |

the sounds are basically static background noise you'd hear between channels. the program can "hear" the subtle differences in tone and adds them, if found, as potential candidates. As far as your perceptions, nothing here mentions being able to find a signal from listening. You could watch the screensaver and watch the cascade but again the app does all the work you just sit back and dont have to do anything |
