Quick question: is there a difference in AP CPU apps between win32 and win64 installers? I have a mix of both operating systems and there were no problems installing AVX app on 64bit Win 7, but when I tried to run win32 installer on my 32bit Win 7 it gave me SSE3 app and instead of AVX there is SSE3(AMD) sitting on it's spot. BTW, rigs I'm talking about are identical, except for the 32 vs 64 win7 type.

Problem is that we recieved 4 month of precipitation in less than 72 hrs and only utter devastation remains now.

Thanks for everything Matt.

Nonetheless, there seems to be a little annoyance regarding Astropulse validation. This AP wu is stuck in validating limbo and there are whole bunch of them from where this one came. They all belong to a batch that was uploaded and reported right after you guys brought the project back online. Don't know if it is outage related, but we saw similar things in the past with v505.

Considering its surroundings, I'd say that it is the lighthouse in the middle of nowhere.

Could you specify that, please :D

Since the building is situated on a rocky outcrop 50-60m above sea level, led me to thinking that this might be a lighthouse, and by default such structures are usually far away from urban areas.

... I decided to use an E7200 C2D processor. 4 GB of 1200MHz DDR2 RAM and an old XP Home installation ...

...The only teething problem was, due to the amount of memory allocated to the GPU's. The total amount available for the OS was barely a Gig.

...The next plan is to install Linux on it and make it a REAL beast.

T.A.

I'm just hoping that your next OS would be x64 in which case 'The Monster' should see more than barely a gig. ;-)

Couldn't help but notice that you're still using initial release (403) of bios for your mobo. It never hurt to update to latest version (1302) especially when some sort of problem is present. It may not solve it, but in any case you should have some benefits.

ya i know :( i have the MAXIMUS-ASUS-Extreme-1302.ROM on my desktop since yesterday. i have an old floppy drive in a desk ... i m just waiting my friend comeback to me in a day or 2 with a floppy connector cable :S
i couldnt find any floppy connector anywhere in my house :(

i ve check all the BIOS upgrade "txt", and none are talking about this problem fix :( so i dunno. it should be written in the fix lists.

You don't need a floppy, try using ASUS Update V7.17.06 to update bios from within windows. I did that countless times without any problems. Of course the usual conditions for such procedure must be met. Another easy way to upgrade is from bios itself. These days it may be smarter not to use flopies at all, except if you just walk out of the store with brand new drive and pack of discs and even then you wont be 100% sure.
