1) Message boards : SETI@home Science : Recording vs. Computing (Message 1551405) Posted 2 Aug 2014 by Jasper van Leeuwe Post: Taking the risk of asking one of the obvious and silly questions, but I just wondered how the computing/analyzing rate of the project compares to the incoming data. Are we, meaning all participants together, analyzing less data than we get in or is there more computing power than new data? And if the amount of analyzed data is lower than the new data generated, how much is 'stockpiled' and waiting to get analyzed? Thanks in advance for the answers!

The CPU+ATI GPU units go well, but the 'normal' units take hours longer than the estimated time. What could be the cause of this?.
