(Message 1019482) Posted 25 Jul 2010 by Cellar Dweller Post: I was trying to merge a computer to another and they won't let me do it with the correct ones but it allowed me to do it with the incorrect one. I now have two of the same named computers on my list and they are actually both the same computer. The one I wanted to merge with it's new name would not show up and would not work? I think there is merging issues or how it allows computers to be merged. I've had this issue in the past.

4) Questions and Answers : Windows : Windows 2003 Server and Not responding BOINC MANAGER??? (Message 225558) Posted 4 Jan 2006 by Cellar Dweller Post: Just out of no where I can no longer run BOINC on my Windows 2003 Server. It was running fine and this has also happened on my XP machines in the past but usually a reboot would fix the XP machines. Anyway BOINC is set to start during log in and it's in my startup. Problem is only the manager is started and boinc isn't or the setiathome exe. If I manually click on BOINC.exe then everything seems to run fine but why would BOINC MANAGER always come up as not responding and I'm unable to even RIGHT click on the icon in the system tray it's just simply dead. I can go to the Programs and start BOINC MANAGER manually but as I stated it then is just NOT RESPONDING, I've even un-installed, deleted folder and re-installed and I've even ended the task to make sure it wasn't running twice but to no avail. Also it just states it's connecting to Localhost and never connects during all of this. Please help.

5) Questions and Answers : Windows : Boinc Client 4.25 DEAD??? (Message 91437) Posted 27 Mar 2005 by Cellar Dweller Post: Out of no where I can not get it to run now on my Windows XP SP2 patched to hilt PC. It ran fine since it was released 4.25 but the other day it just stopped working. If I kill all processes of it and even remove from tray or startup when starting it just shows as NOT RESPONDING. I even reboot and try to let it run on startup but it shows it in the system tray but I can not click it or open it what so ever. I have to manually start it by going to my Start Programs and clicking the shortcut to .exe and it will then show the window but it's still NOT RESPONDING - I've un-installed, removed folders and re-installed several times and it is currently DEAD???

10) Message boards : SETI@home Science : Getting tons of UPLOAD Errors??? (Message 36707) Posted 15 Oct 2004 by Cellar Dweller Post: I've been getting upload errors since about the 11 of October and I'm still getting them. Always says Permanently Failed Upload of "filename" replace file name with the unit it completed. My biggest worry is that since this has been doing it for so many days and so many units have been completed on my 3 machines (Am I still getting credit?)
