That is the real LAST line of code inside Boinc Manager.

So, one working, the next one is doing me a system lockup.

And before you ask:
Normal PC Phenom-9950 not OC'd with GTX260 (the one from Palit). Using a 700 Watt power supply so no power problems.

I take back half of what I said.

Since this error seemed to happen mostly (if not exclusive) on opt-app, I thought it would be a problem of the opt-app code.

BUT...

1. You told me about this code part being from the stock code.

2. This error happened to one of my wu's on setibeta with their STOCK cuda23-app... It is task ID 6619759. Error: "cudaAcc_find_triplets erroneously found a triplet twice in find_triplets_kernel".

SO...

My deepest apologies for bashing around too much.

Maybe the source for this error is part of the cuda23-optimization inside both the KWSN-code and the cuda23-code, since the cuda-standard-wus don't seem to error out with this triplet errors?

OK Now it is enough. This is 3 months of discussing and reporting errors that have nothing to do with the stock app provided by seti.

Everyone who has problems running the MODIFIED code of the optimized app should discuss this on LUNATICS.KWSN.NET!

This includes these triplets problems a.k.a. Error -12.

Please. Discuss it there. You won't get help here because here in the q+a part of this forum you will ONLY get help for the stock app that will be sent to you by seti.

If you hapopen to see "V12 modification by Raistmer" (or any other Vxx) in the task result report, it is NOT the stock app, your help is over at lunatics.

Hi!

I have a question:

After reading the nvidia faq about CUDA, I didn't even think about crunching a cuda wu, but my system just dl'd such a thing and seems to be crunching quite fine (0.005% per second) - and that on the ONBOARD nforce graphics chipset! *lol* I hope it does not overheat...

Anyone else experienced if there will be problems for me? (e.g. being too slow?)

That's where the big HONK takes out your - so far good - explanation.
As mentioned before, if boinc is running as a service - running with admin-rights - AND the netcafe-user has only GUEST-rights, he can NOT see any file, only if the admin is not good enough to restrict access for guest-user-accounts...
It is because of this:

1. GUEST-user can only access directories and files and execute programs that he is allowed to
2. BOINC is working in background with ADMIN-rights, but GUEST-user can neither see nor change anything doing with boinc, because to change anything that has to do with it he has to have ADMIN-rights... and ADMIN is not logged in!
