21) Message boards : Number crunching : Yes… Yes… Reschedule more… (Message 1419247)

I want to congratulate the Anonymous user at number 8 at the ‘’top hosts’’ list, for his willing to take ALL the Astropulse wu’s.

You already have 1229 wu’s in progress. Keep going man, Reschedule more, and let’s hope that Sten-Arne will not see where all the wu’s go.

Here is an old picture of the machine with 2 PSU. Later I add one more because GTX 590’s are VERY hungry.

http://s1343.photobucket.com/user/Timol1/media/DSC_1920.jpg.html?

I have one PSU for the system only, one PSU for the two 590’s, and one for the rest two 590’s.
As you can see from the list below GTX 590 need 46A and a 700W PSU minimum according to MSI. Corsair AX1200 give 100Amps on a single rail.

Buy a mobo with 4 pci-e slots, buy big a$$ power supply and go for it.
Seems simple enough.

One power supply is not enough for 4x HD7990 + the system.

He will need 2 or more.

I use 3 for my top rig.

Tim

Tim. The additional power supplies, are you using paperclip trick?

No, I am using this one.

He just PM me and he told me that he will stop reschedule any more.

Maybe he is not a bad guy after all. :-)

Time will tell.

Tim

Since then he's gone and hidden his hosts, Seems rather underhand, unless someone has his host id's we won't know if he's telling the truth, or not.

And he is still doing it. He has 700 tasks at one pc, and 600 to the other.

Hey man… contact the admins and ask if they can send AP tasks only to your rigs. :-)

Please STOP rescheduling AP tasks from CPU to Gpu.

You are doing it wrong.

We all can do that and take 500 AP tasks but this is not the right way.

I post this message in public, because I already PM him and he discard me.

For so many tasks this one seems to be spitting out one overflow exit after another.

One thing is for sure…

All those ‘’pendings’’ will go to the ‘’invalids’’. :-0

I am still using BOINC 6.10.58 on my Linux boxes. SETI@home V7 and AP 6.01 by Lunatics run flawlessly. Same for other 5 BOINC projects.
Tullio

How can you say that?

You have 1 in progress a and 2 pendings at your machines.

But when you have a big amount of wu’s like me, eventually the problem will appear.

It is like that at the beginning, but when you go to v7, you will see that it is very good.

Yes there are some minor thinks, but you will use to it.

I am using it almost from the beginning, and if you tell me now go back to v6, I will say a big NO.

I think Host:5335631 is a ‘’set and forget machine’’.

That’s why he is using boinc version 6.10.18.

But yes, minimum system requirement is a good idea.

2 more added again from ATI hosts.

Someone must kick something.

This is a waste of resources.

Why should I even bother? This thing is gonna die. I'm going to run it and then receive an Invalid for my trouble. Whut?

Same thing. Server prefer to send wu to ATI and cpu.

I wonder how many of my 500 pending AP wu’s are the same.
