Does it not ship to my country - Slovakia? Poland is there, Czech Republic not, Austria also, we all are part of European Union. Strange. I would order at least the T-Shirt for sure, but in this case, no chance.
Knows anyone details? Possibilities? Maybe even more people for our team will order some.

Just to put clicable link to the page with HP-UX versions.
I have already running 3 boxes with this new version. On 2 of them I had to install patches because I was getting error, on 1 it was running without need of patching.
Great work Lars!

Which version (BOINC Client and SETI@home Application) are you running?

Just installed the client on my J5600 (dual 552Mhz with 2GB of RAM). I looked at the install docs and it said it would use both CPU's if my SETI preferences were to use them. My prefs are set to use up to 4 CPU's, but the J5600 is only using one CPU to compute. I have run the "/opt/boinc/boinc_client -update_prefs http://setiathome.berkeley.edu" command, but still nada. Any ideas?

SIGSEGV: 4.72 boinc client, on more hosts and it happed when I'm connecting to the boinc client from remote host via BOINCView program. BUt it is very seldom, so no problem at all and with new version I believe it will disappear.

Thank for new version. I have only 64-bits PA-RISC 2.0 machines. I will connect to the company tomorrow and install new client on one box.

Hi, send me the binaries for testing, I will try to put it on one of my HP-UXes (6 for now) right after you send it.
I have a little problem with BOINC manager on HP-UX. I'm using BOINCView to manage my small farm and when I start it and it is connecting to the hosts, sometime (1 per month) BOINC Manager (client) crashes on SIGSEG. I hope, the new version will solve this and problem will dissapear. That is also reason to try new version

If someone are interested on the boinc manager or the wxWidgets, I can put both prerelease to a webserver. The both packages are only tested on my 11i system in the moment.
Also made a request to the HPUX Software Porting Centre for adding my wxWidgets package...

I have uploaded the HPUX11.0 binaries (32 and 64 bit) and the 11i PARISC boinc client with the fixed memory detection, temporarly to my webserver (www.dotsch.de/seti/hpux). They will be available till Stefan has time to upload it to his webserver.

Thanks for info, I will take a look on that next week, for sure.

Hello Dean !

10.20: Since HPUX 10.20 is completely out of extended support, hopefully demand for that will be pretty low. Although I know some old shops still running it because they have to. Those guys are pretty nervous about it, so I'd imagine not real interested in BOINC... If you need a tester, I'm sure I could dig up an old box...

I have it also seen/heard from several sources, some would/could not migrate to 11.x. So I thougt I post it here, in the hope that if someone need 10.20 binaries replies.
Dean, what do you think, should we wait, if there will someone request 10.20 binaries, or should we start it with a low priority ? - I am not shure, but i have the impresion, that 10.20 need a completly recompile. - Also I am not shure if the 11.0 binaries will run on 10.20. And if the seti enhanced comes, 10.20 should recompiled agiain, to my tendence is to wait for a request...

If Eric releases the new seti enhanced, I wan't to release binaries for HPUX ASAP. I am in testings of the seti enhanced (seti beta project) in the moment on PARISC, looks good in the moment....

Also, I was able to compile the wxWidgets and the boinc manager. I hope, that I can release a binary soon.

Hi Dotsch!
Nice to read that you compiled wxWidgets for HP-UX! Congratulation. I finally go to upgrade all my clients to last your version. I will keep you posted.
Version 10.20 is obsoleted by us, we already obsoleted 99% of the 10.20in the this year and still some old boxes are going to be obsoleted soon. Version 11.11 for PA-RISC2.0 will live for some time from now, probably long.

I'm sorry, previous message was from me. I just helped troubleshoot for my friend and was loged in as his, sorry for that.

Did you Update BOINC through the Projects tab?

I mean, you saved the changes to the web site, yes?
Then you should go into Boinc Manager, Projects tab, Select the Seti project, press the Update button.

I just tested it on my system with 5.2.13, Windows 2000, I immediately went into suspended mode:

06/12/2005 15:24:23||Suspending computation and network activity - user is active

Yes I did everything. But I'm running it as a servcie and I'm sure that it the case.
But I have to run it as a service. If not it works, but only when I log into system. Not when other users do. Computer is powerfull Win2003 Terminal Server.

Hi folks!
I installed BOINC 5.2.12 on Windows 2003 as service. I have Administrator rights, everything runs well. Then I set preferences:
Do work while computer is in use? ... NO
Do work only after computer is idle for ... 3 minutes.
I also set is run as Local Service with possibility to interract with desktop.
So far good. After starting service it waits 3 minutes and then starts. But doesn't stop when I log in thrugh terminal services or another user do so.
It is possible to solve this somehow? Knows somebody the answer?
I have set preferences and venus right, updated project, everything what I know I should do and I read in other threads.

You will not lost any WU. You will get credit also for results uploaded after deadline. Don't worry. Read News and Technical news. Thety will not start db_purge process which checks for ovedue results. Don't panic on Titanic.

meanwhile I've got 10 PCs here running enstine@home as I've run out of WUs on everything.

I've only got one Mac but if I can't upload soon, the deadline will be past for one WU and probably a second. Doesn't sound a lot but they take in excess of 10 hours each.

If users can't keep there PC's crunching Seti 24hrs a day then there are other projects using the boinc platform to take up the slack.

Not in every case. I'm running SETI@home on HP-UX, and S@H is one and only BOINC project which can run on this platform (Thank to Lars to compile it). So my 4 boxes are cold already. I set 10 days buffer but buffers are already empty.
